The recipe is a bit heartier with the addition of the meal.
I substituted dried cherries with dried cranberries because i think that chocolate and cherries are a match made in cookie heaven.
I also like to buy , instead of chocolate chips, and then use a large knife to cut them into chunks.
This way i can have a chocolate snack along the way.
And the size of the chocolate chunks varies, so every bite is a surprise.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium for about 30 seconds.
Add brown sugar, raw sugar, baking soda, and salt.
Beat until combined, scraping the sides of the bowl continuously because the batter will be thick.
Beat in egg and vanilla until combined.
Add in rolled oats, flax seed meal, chocolate, cherries, and pumpkin seeds.
Allow the extremely thick batter to combine.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until tops are lightly browned.
Let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute.
Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.
Makes about 30 cookies.
